CEO’s Profile

Dr. Ifeoma Dunn is the CEO and founder of Greenland Behavioral Health. She is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Michigan-Flint. Before she became a Doctor of Nursing Practice mental health professional, Dr. Dunn worked as a psychiatric nurse with individuals that had various mental health challenges in both hospital settings and correctional facilities.

The organizations Dr. Dunn worked as a psychiatric nurse are Spring Grove Hospital, which is under the Maryland Department of Mental Health and Hygiene, University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus, Northwest hospital (LifeBridge), and State of Maryland Jessup correctional facility.

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Dr. Dunn currently works in Baltimore serving individuals with substance abuse disorders and mental health challenges. She also extends her psychiatric mental health services to the geriatric population, ensuring they receive adequate behavioral health services needed to maintain their quality of life. 

Dr. Dunn believes that being a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner would aid in the healthcare systems, serve her unique patients, and inspire other nurses to contribute to the wellness of the society through the mental health industry. Her passion in mental health practice has made to become dedicated to her patient in particular and the profession at large. She believes in evidence-based and patient-centered care. Dr. Dunn is an advocate for zero seclusion for the management of aggressive behaviors in mental health. Her work ethics during the past years of nursing experience and her research work are clear examples of this advocation.
